How to Reduce 100 calories : For every meal time.

The Quote, “Slow and steady wins the race” explains in detail how the things manifest when done slowly and with steady pace.  This quote when applied to eating habits, the results were simply amazing!!.   Lets get into research details, Texas Christian University researchers have found that eating slowly and having in smaller pie makes us feel less hungry an hour afterwards than if we had fastly.

They looked at how eating speed affects the number of calories consumed during a meal and also asked volunteers about their feelings of hunger or fullness after their meals.

During the slow-paced meal, people were told to imagine they had no time constraints, take small bites, chew thoroughly, and pause and put the cutlery down between bites.
For the hastily-eaten meal, they were told to imagine they were in a rush, take large bites, chew quickly, and not to pause and put the cutlery down.

When eating slowly, the participants chowed down an average 88 fewer calories than during the fast meal.
Slow eaters also tended to drink more water with their meal, which aids feelings of fullness.

"The higher water intake during the slow eating condition probably caused stomach distension and may have affected food consumption," Professor Meena Shah said.

"Slowing the speed of eating may help to lower energy intake and suppress hunger levels and may even enhance the enjoyment of a meal."

Chewing Gum leads to Chronic Headaches !!!!!

Here is a caution to all ,who made chewing gum a habbit.  According to  , Dr. Nathan Watemberg of Tel Aviv University, who is a Israeli researcher , Chewing regularly lead to headaches because it too intense solicit the temporomandibular joint, the area where the jaw is linked to the skull. “This is the most sought join the body.” Gum would be even more harmful than aspartame – often present in the gum – could cause migraines.

Dr.Watemberg along with his team, observed thirty teenagers regularly with cranial pain and chewed for 1-6 hours per day the famous candy.
For a month, witnesses completely stopped their consumption. 19 of them reported the disappearance of their headaches, 7 reported a decrease in frequency and intensity. In a second phase, 26 patients agreed to chew again. After two weeks of recovery, all found back pain.

Is it hard to remember a face? Love Gene is responsible for that

Many of us will have a tough time when we fail to recognize the face who greets us cordially, the key to this lies in our LOVE GENE.

British researchers found that, It is likely to forget a name but it’s a unlikely to forget facial features.

The gene responsible is called the oxytocin receptor, also known as the love gene. It influences a range of social interactions and is activated during breastfeeding and love making.

According to Professor David Skuse, who led the study at University College London, “ Some of us are very good at remembering faces and some are very poor. It is a critical ability to have. At its extreme it is the difference between differentiating strangers from family.”

The researchers studied the facial recognition abilities of 622 people aged from three to 66 and found that a third, where the gene was weaker, were 10 per cent less likely to recognise a face.
