Is it hard to remember a face? Love Gene is responsible for that

Many of us will have a tough time when we fail to recognize the face who greets us cordially, the key to this lies in our LOVE GENE.

British researchers found that, It is likely to forget a name but it’s a unlikely to forget facial features.

The gene responsible is called the oxytocin receptor, also known as the love gene. It influences a range of social interactions and is activated during breastfeeding and love making.

According to Professor David Skuse, who led the study at University College London, “ Some of us are very good at remembering faces and some are very poor. It is a critical ability to have. At its extreme it is the difference between differentiating strangers from family.”

The researchers studied the facial recognition abilities of 622 people aged from three to 66 and found that a third, where the gene was weaker, were 10 per cent less likely to recognise a face.
