Importance of Yoga in Improving our Circulatory System

Importance of Yoga in Improving our Circulatory System

In todays post let us understand What is the Importance of Yoga in Improving our Circulatory System ?

To begin with let’s first understand the function of this system. Everyone is aware of the importance of the circulatory system and role played by it in our life. It is also known as the cardio vascular system and it comprises of the heart and the blood vessels.

Heart pumps the blood which is carried to the different parts of our body by the blood vessels. The circulatory system comprises of two parts the blood system and the lymphatic system.

The lymphatic system ensures that all the waste from the circulatory system is removed.

The blood system is helped by the heart which pumps the blood but the lymphatic system doesn’t have any organ which will help in flushing out the waste, the entire onus lies on the muscles which fulfils its task by the contraction and expansion

Importance of Yoga in Improving our Circulatory System

This is where yoga comes into play. The nutrients and oxygen are also transported to the different organs via the blood. Heart comprises of four chambers, the two auricles and two ventricles. Each of this auricle and ventricle has different roles to perform.

The right auricle collects the de-oxygenated blood and pumps it to the right ventricle which sent it to the lungs so that it becomes mixed with oxygen and gets oxygenated; from there it is brought back to the left auricle and pumped into the left ventricle and from there the arteries carry it to different parts of the body.

These arteries are thick walled and the main artery is referred to as aorta. The arteries branch into sub arteries which divide into thin walled capillaries.

The capillaries are the one which supply the oxy gen and nutrients to all the organs and in turn collect all the toxic waste from these organs and they are carried back to the heart through veins and the entire process is repeated.

Importance of Yoga in Improving our Circulatory System

When the blood is carried by the veins there is a fear of blood flowing back because of less pressure, hence the veins are provided with valves. Yoga is an ancient form of exercise which ensures our overall well being. Itb looks into our mental as well as our physical development.

It comprises of breathing exercises accompanied by various postures which not only helps the heart to pump effectively but also it helps in strengthening the muscles. These exercises have been existing from time immemorial and it has stood the test of time.

Over the years it has evolved according to the requirement of that particular generation. In yoga there are many postures and position which will enable you to make your muscles stronger so that it can function very efficiently in removing the waste from the blood, thus making sure that your body is healthy.

Importance of Yoga in Improving our Circulatory System

This in turn augments your immune system ensuring that you are able to with stand all the infections raiding your body.

Yoga is a sure short way to healthy living; it improves your circulatory system by ensuring that the heart pumps the blood to all parts of the body efficiently and the muscles expand and contract effectively so as to enable the removal of all waste from the blood.

The breathing exercises also ensure that the intake of oxygen is very good and it is transported to all the organs which are able to function very efficiently.

That is the main reason why pre-natal yoga is suggested to the pregnant ladies so that they are able to reap all the benefits. Without doubt one can say yoga plays a very important role in our circulatory system.

How To Make Heart Healthy Food With Herbs

How To Make Heart Healthy Food With Herbs

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the majority of the countries. Heart disease can lead to a heart attack, or even a stroke.

It can strike suddenly and require you to make decisions quickly. Often a lifestyle change to eating heart healthy foods is part of this decision making process. Eating well by following a healthy diet can lower your risk of heart disease.

Did you know that fresh herbs can be used to make many foods heart-healthy and delicious when they replace sugar, salt, and trans fats? The Ancient text, Genesis 1:29, tells us that our Creator, God gave us every herb yielding seed. “And God said, “Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit.

You shall have them for food.” Adding herbs to foods will give you delicious ways to fight heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes.

If you are new to cooking with herbs, you can start with a few of the basic dishes such as chicken with tarragon, guacamole with cilantro and chili, grilled cod or tuna with salsa verde (a delicious Mexican green salsa made with roasted tomatillos, onion, cilantro leaves, lime juice and sugar), and roast potatoes with rosemary and garlic.

Once you begin to appreciate how the blending of flavors affects a dish, you will begin to experiment and create combinations to your own taste.

Generally herbs are used to add fragrance and flavor to food rather than to provide the dominant taste.

While robust herbs like sage do not lose their flavors if dried, most herbs are meant to be eaten fresh.

Herbs added early on in cooking process will release their flavor to the food. Dried herbs should be put in at the beginning, and herbs with tough leaves such as rosemary, lavender, thyme, and bay can withstand long cooking.

When you add sprigs of herbs to a dish, remove them before serving. To restore the aroma of herbs in a slow cooking dish stir a few finely chopped leaves into the pan toward the end of cooking process. Strongly flavored herbs, such as mint, tarragon, fennel, can be added at any stage during cooking.

The essential oils of delicate herbs, like basil, dill, cilantro, and lemon balm, soon dissipate when heated. To keep them fresh in taste, texture, and color, add the just before a dish is served.

Herbs are usually grouped by aroma and taste:

The following should make your herb selection a little easier:

Sweet herbs-basil, bay

Minty herbs- mint- peppermint, spearmint

Pungent and spicy herbs- oregano, rosemary, sage

Oniony herbs- garlic

Fresh and mild herb- parsley

Citrus or tart herbs- sorrel, sassafras, lemon balm

Bitter or astringent herbs-celery, chicory

Licorice or anise herbs—tarragon, dill, fennel

Putting this information together we have the light flavor of dill and parsley that is good with fish and seafood. The more pungent flavors of rosemary, oregano, and garlic go with lamb or roast pork wonderfully.

Root vegetables respond well to thyme and rosemary, green peas to chives, and tomatoes to basil with parsley. Using herbs correctly is very important to the outcome desired.

Try these combinations /parings often and make your food heart healthy and delicious when they replace sugar, salt, and trans fats

Detox Diet: The Carrot Juice Fast

Detox Diet The Carrot Juice Fast

Some people have benefitted from the carrot juice fast. They claim that diseases can be reversed with this form of detox diet . Carrot juice is highly promoted by Norman Walker in his book on Raw Vegetable Juice.

Walker was a daily practitioner of raw food eating and juicing and lived to the age of 99 years old (January 4, 1886 — June 6, 1985). The carrot juice fast involves drinking 8 ounzes of carrot juice every 2-3 hours throughout the day.

Supporters have gone on this detox diet for a period of 7 days or sometimes longer. (However, going on any period for more than a week is not advised, unless you are under the supervision of a naturopathic doctor.

In fact, a prolonged detox diet should only be done if you want to accomplish a purpose such as in treating a chronic condition. But you should not be doing this on your own if this is the case. In fact, your progress should be closely monitored by your doctor. ).

It is best that carrot used for this detox diet is organic. If it is not, it may be wise to peel the skin away before juicing. Additionally, wash the carrot in distilled water to rinse it off any chemicals. I personally feel that a carrot juice fast is just like any mono detox diet. The advantage of a mono detox diet is in the elimination of food combinations and reduced demands made on your digestive system during the period of cleanse.

This provides an opportunity for your body to cleanse itself of the debris stored inside your body and also a chance for it to repair and heal itself. Of course, the downside of a mono detox diet is that you may just get bored and sick of taking the same drink or food during the period of the cleanse. In this case, some meditation and positive visualization can help you with some sustaining mental power.

Let me know your comments below what do you think about Carrot Juice Fast.

Do you know why eggs are good food??

Have you ever wondered why eggs are recommended rich food and all doctors suggest you to have minimum an one egg per day ? Then this article is for you to understand what exists in eggs and why it is rich in nutrients.

Eggs do contains cholesterol, its a good cholesterol which our body requires most. Yes, it's true that Cholesterol is within the ingredient . And also it's truth that Cholesterol is of course occurring in our brain. In fact, we'd like Cholesterol for normal brain functioning...

Plus, your liver makes 95% of your Cholesterol supplying all of your body needs. Not only that, Cholesterol content in eggs is simply as natural as protein and vitamins.

Imagine you've got ALL nutrients necessary to initiate a replacement life in one small egg... Human eggs or animal eggs... all eggs are priceless nutrition source.

However, brain washing against eggs is so intense, that we keep forgetting how perfect ORGANIC eggs are... Well guess what... even more perfect are the fertile eggs.

You'll get everything you would like and therefore the list is long... Vitamins, Minerals, Amino Acids and Protein to call just a couple of ... beat perfect balance.

Eggs are the winners, but the negative publicity over the years did lot damage to the 'eggs image' and therefore the result's devastating. More and more people are buying cereals... they turned to the competition.

The fight or competition ??

Cereals! Man-made ingredients are competing against God made eggs. the sole thanks to win, it's to continue what they are doing now by discrediting eggs.

Besides, supported my research, there's no reputable study done which might blame eggs for Cholesterol build up. All negative information's are fabricated to discredit not only ORGANIC eggs, but the entire egg industry.

But still, I even have excellent news to share with you from Dr. Clare M. Hasler, Ph.D, of the University of Illinois: "it is now known that there's little if any connection between dietary cholesterol and blood cholesterol levels..." and "eggs are a superb dietary source of the many essential (e.g., protein, choline) and non-essential (e.g., lutein/zeaxanthin) components, which can promote optimal health." also from Dr. Zeisel - Information for brand spanking new mothers: "the mother's dietary choline during a critical period in brain development of her infant influences the speed of birth and death of nerve cells during this center."

So, do you still think eggs are not good for you?

The egg source in your diet makes a difference because bioengineered... man-made corn is fed to typical chickens. it's that poultry is sicker than one that eats them. Yes?

Poultry and other animals are growing faster and fatter because of hormones... And sick animals are kept alive because of drugs and antibiotics. Hey, if those eggs are on your table, you ought to worry

There are various type of eggs are available in the market, do proper study, know everything what you eat... Wishing you healthy life and healthy eating habits.

Understanding about Chikungunya

Understanding about Chikungunya:

Chikunguny is a debilitating, but non-fatal, viral illness that is spread by the bite of infected mosquitoes. Mostly it has resemblance of dengue fever.

It usually spread by the bite of an Aedes mosquito. Humans are thought to be the major source, or reservoir, of chikungunya virus for mosquitoes. Therefore, the mosquito usually transmits the disease by biting an infected person and then biting someone else. An infected person cannot spread the infection directly to other persons (i.e. it is not a contagious disease). Aedes aegypti mosquitoes bite during the day time.

Symptoms:

Chikungunya usually starts suddenly with fever, chills, headache, nausea, vomiting, joint pain, and rash. In Swahili, "chikungunya" means "that which contorts or bends up". This refers to the contorted (or stooped) posture of patients who are afflicted with the severe joint pain (arthritis) which is the most common feature of the disease. Frequently, the infection causes no symptoms, especially in children. While recovery from chikungunya is the expected outcome, convalescence can be prolonged and persistent joint pain may require analgesic (pain medication) and long-term anti-inflammatory therapy. Infection appears to confer lasting immunity.

Diagnosis and Treatment:

Chikungunya is diagnosed by blood tests (ELISA). Since the clinical appearance of both chikungunya and dengue are similar, laboratory confirmation is important especially in areas where dengue is present. Such facilities are, at present, available at National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune & National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD), Delhi.

There is no specific treatment for chikungunya. Supportive therapy that helps ease symptoms, such as administration of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and getting plenty of rest, may be beneficial. Infected persons should be isolated from mosquitoes in as much as possible in order to avoid transmission of infection to other people.
